Inlet connections: 1/2" PEX (F1807, crimp style)
Outlet connections: 3/8" OD compression
Approved for potable water use nationwide and meets lead free regulations (less than 0.25% content). Meets NSF 61 and 372 standards.

Complete set includes the following components:
  • (1) Ox Box outlet box with (2) 1/4-turn ball valves and a frame
  • (1) Mounting rail with pre-drilled holes for screws

These boxes are a great solution that allows me to run the water from a pex manifold, keeping the valves looking good and out of harms way. They're simple and reliable to install and result in a clean, consistent look in every place they're used. My only complaint is that, while the valves are easily removable from the outlet box, I couldn't find any place to buy a replacement valve that would fit into the box.

Once the wall is covered in drywall, can the valves be unscrewed and pulled out a little bit to reveal the crimp connection, or is the crimp connection permanently buried in the wall?

If there's sufficient length (slack) of PEX, the whole box can be taken out, so that both connections are accessible from underneath. Otherwise, the valves are not removable since they are held in place by threaded washers from below.
