Q: Can Viega PEX press tool be used with other brands of PEX pipe?
A: Yes, the press system is compatible with all types and brands of PEX pipe as long as the system also uses the Viega PEX press fittings.
Q: Does Viega PEX press tool need calibration?
A: The tool comes calibrated from the factory and does not required further calibration as per manufacturer. The only maintenance required is periodical oiling as described in the manual.
Q: What should be done if the Viega PEX press tool is stuck mid connection?
A: The tool incorporates a ratcheting mechanism which would prevent it from opening until the connection is fully done. If the tool must be opened while connection is not complete - turn the release screw as shown in Product Instructions (page 1, picture 4).
