Types of tailpieces
Flanged Tailpieceis most commonly used to connect a sink drain to a P-trap or S-trap. Flanged inlet is connected to the drain using a standard slip nut and a flanged washer.
Dishwasher Tailpiece is the same as above with an additional branch-off outlet for connecting a drain hose from the dishwasher. Dishwasher drain outlet is usually copper pipe size (5/8” or 7/8” OD) or hose barb (5/8” or 7/8” OD hose barb). A universal rubber dishwasher adapter can be used to create a transition.
Slip Joint Tailpiece is used to extend existing tubular pipe in length to accommodate various installation specifications.
Threaded Tailpiece has a threaded end which most commonly connects into the sink drain. Models we carry are 1/4” threaded on both ends.
