Taco zvc405-4, Taco 5 Zone Valve Control
I just installed it yesterday and ran it threw it's course. It seemed like it all worked. We'll see this winter when it the zone valves call for heat if it all works, I hope... Well constructed.

Product OK. Choice of shipper - Extremely Poor!
This product was shipped on 2/28 via Fedex - a carrier with one worst delivery records in our area. Despite the tough prevailing weather, I have received 5 UPS deliveries while this item has sat in Fedex warehouses in Sacramento, CA and Sparks, NV. Fedex had opportunities to deliver, like UPS, but Fedex delivers by subcontractors, and they simply do not leave the warehouse if the weather is inclement. Will not buy here is this is the only shipping option. Fortunately, I had a spare of these on hand to replace a failed unit. Otherwise, it would have been a cold 2-weeks+ waiting for Fedex to deliver.
Reply from PexUniverse:
Donald, we apologize for the delay. FedEx is our primary carrier and delivers 99%+ of our packages on time. Your situation, where delay is over 1-2 days, is extremely rare and we would like to assist you in any way possible - whether it's a replacement shipped via USPS (or FedEx Express service) or a refund - just let us know. We understand how frustrating it may be when the package is lost or delayed in transit, so feel free to reach out and we'll do our best to help you.

Great Flexibility
I was looking for a zone valve control that could be mounted in a remote manifold location and that could communicate with a switching relay. This product does exactly that. It runs my 2 zones that each have multiple valves on the manifold and it sends a signal back to the Taco 6-zone switching relay (SR506-EXP-4) that is in my mechanical room which controls the pumps and boiler. I have another 6-zone valve control located in a different remote manifold location in my house that does the same thing. In all the documentation, this set-up isn’t very clear but it does work. Hopefully someone reading this review is wondering the same thing and this review will help assure you that it is feasible to connect the zone valves to a switching relay.

Mostly Good
The device fails to give clear descriptions for connections and/or instructions for usage. Must be familiar with reading diagrams. Not for most home owners. (I got the explanation from electrical engineer son, and then it was easy.Would have been better if it had a power cord with it.It is actually a very simple device that seems to work well, if one can hook it up correctly.
