SuperPEX Pre-Formed EPS Foam Board Insulation
SuperPEX insulation panels are EPS foam board insulation panels pre-formed with a "knob" or "puck" on top, which allows installer to walk the PEX pipe in, making installation quicker and easier. It is ideal for radiant floor heating and snow melting projects where PEX is embedded in a concrete slab.
SuperPEX panels are an excellent alternative to a traditional method where plain EPS foam boards are laid out, taped and then PEX tubing is secured to them using a PEX stapler and staples.
The main advantages of the SuperPEX panel are ease of installation (only 1 person needed instead of 2), reduced labor (no taping of board seams, no labor-intensive stapling) and precise spacing (for most even heat distribution - hard to achieve with plain foam boards and stapler).
