I have my hvac certification through my employer. I wanted to run a dedicated natural gas line for a generator at home. I ran the main line from the meter all in 1" black pipe, but used this csst to connect to the black pipe I ran going back through the foundation to the cut off outside for the generator flexible gas hose. Using this saved me an immense amount of time over what it would have taken to do it all in black pipe. The install directions from the manufacturer are very clear along with their YouTube video. ProFlex CSST can be used underground only when encased in a larger diameter, non-conductive, water-tight pipe/conduit with no fittings or exposed pipe present. Conduit must be protected from damage by rodents, water seepage, etc. Details can be found in the ProFlex manual on pages 20-21 and 26.
