Good sized
I wanted this size as it is just slightly oversized for my needs...50 gal water heater and 60 psi pressure. I was seeing 75 psi avg and excursions up to 120 psi before I put in pressure regulator and expansion tank. Now I only see 60 psi avg and 70 psi peak.

Need an expansion tank for a crown boiler, 112 BTU, water heater heater is 40 gallons. Both natural gas. Can you recommend a Amtrol one.
Helpful? Yes No
According to the sizing charts provided by Amtrol, a 40-gallon water heater with 140F temp. setting and up to 80 psi static pressure would be fine with a ST-5 model. If unsure, you can always select a larger model (ST-8 or even ST-12).
