The Liberty Pumps SumpJet SJ10 is a water-powered, sump-pump back-up system with a 1-1/2" discharge. The Liberty SJ10 requires no electricity to be operated and serves as an emergency back-up to an existing pump system during power outages. This backup system is fully automatic and uses the municipal water supply to evacuate water from the sump. It accepts 20PSI to 100PSI inlet supply pressure. The Liberty Pump SJ10 is not intended to be used as the main sump water removal pump.
This sumpjet has a compact design and high-output flow rates. It removes 2 gallons of sump water for every 1 gallon used. It comes fully assembled and is equipped with a SharkBite push-type fitting inlet. This fitting can be used with various approved 3/4-inch portable water tubing and pipe, such as PRX tubing, copper pipe, or copper tube size CPVC pipe. A garden hose should not be used with this sumpjet. They are not designed to hold municipal pressure indefinitely and could leak or burst, causing flooding. The Liberty Pump SJ10 has a foot valve installed so there is no need for a check valve on the discharge.
The sumpjet is intended to remove clear sump water only. It is not designed to remove waste water, sewage, effluent, or water with debris in it. The Liberty Pump SJ10 needs an uninterrupted water source to operate and will not operate in the event of power outages.
