An outstanding boiler. Ease to install, very efficient. I Bough one to replace a unit of another brand, because it does not have the ASME “H” Stamp as required by NYC DOB Boiler division. This unit has the “H” certification, I’ll buy the other 12 units. In total I’m replacing 13 Units.

Very nice unit. However. Pex Universe could do a better job packaging for delivery. The top of the boiler was dinted in slightly and bent the air bleeder. The bottom of the boiler was also dinted slight and cracked the condensate drip tube. If I knew this. I would have asked for more packing to protect the unit during shipping

I have not installed this boiler yet but have one that I purchased from another vendor (because PEXUniverse did not carry them at that time) 2 years ago that has been running fine. The whole unit looks like there was a lot of engineering done to make everything fit just right. The only misfitting part on my older one was the front cover which does not line up with the main cabinet due to the cabinet having a slight twist to it but it does not cause any operational problems. I really like the firetube boiler design and the mini domestic hot water storage tank design. This is the only boiler that I found that did not run the boiler water through restrictive copper or stainless steel tubes and use a plate heat exchanger for the domestic hot water. The domestic hot water capacity is very good. PEXUniverse did an excellent job of packing it in a slightly larger box and adding a layer of Styrofoam board insulation all around it so that the factory box was in perfect condition when it arrived via FedEx. I expect that this boiler will perform as well as the last one. Beware, it is heavy, 138 pounds shipping weight, which to me says that it is built well.

I love these boilers and have installed dozens of them over the past couple years, purchasing locally. I saw Pexuniverse started carrying them at a lower price so I have purchased 2, and both showed up via FedEx with the tops smashed in and air vents destroyed. Pexuniverse simply took the MFG packaging and placed it inside of a slightly larger box with zero padding, and sent it out FedEx. These things NEED to be shipped LTL. I will continue to buy these boilers, but I will not buy another from here.
