Resideo (formerly Honeywell) AM-1 series adjusts, maintains, and limits the hot water temperature settings to provide comfort and protect equipment at home. While increasing the amount of safe, usable hot water, it efficiently offers anti-scald, anti-chill protection.

Great temperature limiter for our bathtub
Required by my inspector. I needed to add a thermostatic mixing valve to our already soldered copper plumbing on our new air tub. This valve did the trick. It includes built in check valves and the union connections made soldering it in easy. Right now it's limiting the tub hot water to 120 degrees as required

Excellent Anti-Scald Protection
Installed on hot and cold lines from oil burner coil hot water system. The water was coming out initially as high as 175F. With this valve installed I have it regulated to a narrow band of 118F-120F. Now I have protection in case my grandson turns on the hot water and sticks his hand in it. I've also noticed that there is more consistency in the hot water as the temperature in the boiler around the coil drops to its minimum.
