Grundfos MQ3-45 Booster Pump is ideal for pressure boosting from water storage tanks or from city water supply (maximum 45 psi inlet pressure) and is rated as high as 91.9ft of head. The Grundfos MQ3-45 is also a self-priming multistage centrifugal pump. It can selfprime from a well depth of down to 26 feet within a maximum time of 5 minutes.

Easy to install and works well. I'm using this pump in a home that is on a village water supply but the water pressure was only 32 psi. I also installed a water pressure control valve in front of the pump to be able to adjust the output pressure from the pump. This combination worked well.

Highly recommend! The Grundfos MQ3-45 is a great inline pump. I"m using it to provide water from my rain water collection tanks to my pool and house. I have the pump near the tanks with more than 200 ft of 1" pipe to the house and pool. It's no problem for this pump which delivers 60+ psi water pressure no problem. It's easy to hook up and run and very quiet. The auto off feature is also nice for maintaining pressure and protecting against running dry. The only feature its lacking is the ability to control the water pressure level from the pump itself. I'm using an external pressure regulator. Ordering from PEX was easy and fast!

Booster pump 1 hp Grundfos MQ3-45 [...]The pumps works excellent I have three showers in my house and it keeps the pressure up while everyone gets a shower. My city pressure was about 30 to 35 psi.Now I have a solid 65 psi and above. I installed the pump in same room as my washing machine. It runs very quiet when I shut the door you can bearly hear it. Good product This is a direct replacement for the same model that only lasted 3 years. May be due to power surge knocking out run capacitor. Replacement parts for these units are near impossible to locate, but the product is very simple and easily replaced with another unit. Hope to have one for a spare if the old unit can be repaired. Will be very handy. Was a bit disappointed in the delivery taking over a week from order date when it was quoted as 2-3 days. Was entirely without water during this time.

MQ3-45 Had my first pump installed in 2006 by professional. Two months ago it started stopping intermittently. I called Grundfos, spoke to a plumbing supply company and no one could actually tell me how to trouble shoot it or what may be wrong. I have a large 2 story house that has a pond for water supply. Part of my filtration system are a sand filter and a graphite filter. With this system I have good water pressure on one faucet. As soon as you turn on a second faucet it goes to 1/2. How would you set up this pump and is it the best fix?
The pump detects pressure fluctuations in the system and automatically adjusts the flow. It is installed in line with the main water supply line at the ground level.
