BrassCraft KT series 1/4-Turn Ball Female Iron Pipe Inlet (Compression Outlet) Straight Stop Valve. KT series ball stop valves can be used for recirculating water in systems that produce continuous use temperatures above 115°F.

  • Stem: Compliant brass, plated;
  • Seats: PTFE;
  • Ball: Compliant brass, precision machined;
  • Stem O-ring: Viton & Nitrile;
  • Handle: Zinc die cast;
  • Handle Screw: Zinc-plated steel;
  • Compression Sleeve: C36000 brass;
  • Compression Nut: C36000 brass.

And suddenly...
Retail outlets that used to stock this, don't anymore. A cheaper, plastic internal parts version is now stocked that operates at lower temperatures and a seemingly smaller diameter for lower flow. Perhaps this last point is my poor perception, but when I hold both valve types up to the light, this version seems to be a slightly larger diameter valve ball through hole.
