PEX x Copper Fitting (Male Sweat) Adapter is used to transition between PEX tubing and copper fittings.

When making a connection, always solder the sweat part of the fitting first, cool it off and then connect the PEX side.

 

This crimp style PEX fitting can be installed using the following connection systems:

Crimp Connection System (Copper Crimp Rings + PEX Crimp Tool)

Clamp (Cinch) Connection System (Stainless Steel PEX Clamps + PEX Clamp Tool)

 

Made of lead-free brass, approved for potable water use.

 

Manufactured to ASTM F1807.

 

For use with 3/8" PEX Tubing and 1/2" Copper Fittings.

thick and strong casting
I usually prefer these Matco brand brass sweat fittings since they are heavily cast and have a hexated threaded end to put a wrench on. They are strong and dependable. My only complaint would be that I often have a hard time getting solder to bond to the brass. I have to use a ridiculous amount of flux and even then sometimes it doesn't solder up properly. I think it's the LF aspect of the brass since there is no lead in them anymore. I didn't usually have problems before the LF laws came to be a few years ago.
